International Symposium on Social and Rural Entrepreneurship – Research and Practice
Eesti Maaülikool [EMÜ] and The Bucharest University of Economic Studies [ASE] (The UNESCO Department for Business Administration) have pleasure in announcing an “International Symposium on Social and Rural Entrepreneurship – Research and Practice” for students, practitioners, researchers and development workers in the fields of social enterprise and rural community enterprise.
The symposium organisers would like to invite people interested in rural community development to join us at the symposium and to discuss examples of good practice in rural community enterprise and social entrepreneurship. The purpose of the “International Symposium on Social and Rural Entrepreneurship – Research and Practice” is to join both researchers/academicians and practitioners in the field of social entrepreneurship, rural community development and rural community enterprise, and beyond, in order to advance and foster knowledge transfer, interdisciplinary collaboration and research. The Symposium will be a vehicle for encouraging joint publications and knowledge transfer in terms of practices, teaching methods and research.
The Symposium will support:
- presentations on the state of the art in social enterprise (with an emphasis on rural issues) and rural community business development with exemplar cases of good practice;
- gaining new knowledge and capacity building in social enterprise;
- EU knowledge transfer in terms of practices, teaching methods and research;
- exploring new opportunities for development work in social enterprise and rural community enterprise;
- joint publications.
Organizers: ASE (UNESCO Department of Business Administration from the Faculty of Business Administration) and Eesti Maaülikool (EMÜ): Chair of Biodiversity and Rural Tourism, and the Institute of Economics and Social Sciences.
